Control of the robot was done from external controllers. When the robot team leader (on the right in picture) received fire orders, he ordered which of the robots to fire at the same time, he followed the target in his binoculars.

 

This meant that the robot shooter (in the middle of the picture) had his binoculars pointed at the target the whole time. When the robot was fired, the robot gunner guided it into his line of sight towards the target.

 

On the left sits the signalman
